Your Dream School is Here
Communication, Language & Literacy Development:
We understand language development is critical for the child’s overall development. Activities like reading, story telling, show and tell, circle time are all carefully planned to help our students become better communicators. We extend the reading activities to home by sending a new story book, every Friday to read over the weekend and we make sure they read atleast 25 to 30 books a year.
Problem Solving, Reasoning & Numeracy:
Problem solving and Numeracy is fundamental in the development and enhancement of a child’s learning journey. Providing children with an array of activities using numbers, shapes, measurements, sizes help them in becoming confident, capable and lifelong learners.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development:
Children become self aware and confident in managing their emotions and feelings towards others. They understand the connection between their behaviour and consequence. Activities are thoughtfully planned to help children play cooperatively, taking turns with others. They show sensitivity to others’ needs and feelings, and form positive relationships with adults and other children.
Knowledge and Understanding the World:
As children learn about the world around them they find out about the past through talking to parents, grandparents and friends and they develop an interest in their own story as well as the stories in their family – this is the beginning of developing an understanding of the past and helps them to learn about how other people are different from them, yet share some of the same characteristics and ideas. This awareness is extended by visiting places and finding out about different elements of environments in books, on TV and through using other technology.
Physical Development:
Moving and handling – skills enabling children to show good control and coordination in large and small movements. Children are able to handle equipment and tools effectively, including pencils for writing.
Health and self care – children knowing the importance of good health which includes physical exercise and a healthy diet. Children are able to manage their own basic hygiene and personal needs successfully, including dressing and going to the toilet independently.
Creative Development:
Exploring and using media and materials – children sing songs, make music and dance, and experiment with ways of changing them. They safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.
Being imaginative- children’s explorations into the world of pretend, building on their experiences of the real world and transforming them into something new – whether through role play, music, pretend play, block play or small world play or a range of other areas.
