Field Trip to Trichy Museum

On 14th July 2016, the students of class 4th and 5th went on a field trip to Trichy Museum. The museum had displayed artifacts like sculptures, inscriptions,paintings, currencies from early chola period, musical instruments and the museum also exhibits rare flora and fauna and fossils.The Students were awed to see so many reptiles and mammals and various pre historic tools and coins and also the “anchor stated to be found in Ethumalai, a village near Ariyallur”that is placed outside the museum walls.

The Investiture Ceremony thus marked the inaugural of the student council for the academic session 2016-17. The students of class VI were taken on a field trip to ANNA SCIENCE CENTRE as a part of the study tour on 20.06.16.The students were much excited to watch the show on SOLAR SYSTEM. The children shared their wonderful experience after watching the animated show on SOLAR SYSTEM. The various models displayed in the centre brought great ideas of learning on topics such as WATERCYCLE, ECOSYSTEM, CONCEPT OF INERTIA and WORKING OF SUNDIAL. “From yarn to wardrobe”… Learning doesn’t happen in a classroom. The lessons from real life and livelihood of other people reveal a new perspective of learning. KG FieldTrip to Trichy Museum.

Our Kindergarten students visited the Trichy Museum on 17.02.16 and got a unique interactive experience of getting up close to things they usually only see in books, newspapers or on the television. Kids were excited and awed to see various exhibits of stuffed animals and birds, old coins, natural history specimens, a row full of armour and weapons.
